You could host an educational day all about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.
A little info on why NAIDOC Week is so important…
Did you know that in the 1920s many Aboriginal groups wanted the wider community to be aware of the status and treatment of Indigenous Australians? From this NAIDOC (National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee) later emerged.
Today NAIDOC activities are held across Australia in schools, workplaces and public arenas the first week of July. This year it’s from Sunday 3rd to Sunday 10th July.
How LitL will support your celebrations and acknowledgements of NAIDOC Week….

Whether your having an indoor or outdoor picnic or corroboree, reading to the children or encouraging the younger ones to learn better with puzzles, LitL has some wonderful Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander resources.
